Last time on MiniCon literature… Wolfhook got thrown in jail for murder (imagine that) and now the continuation…
Wolfhook huddled in a corner of his jail cell, sharpening his hooks on the floor.
“They’ll be sorry for treating me like this!” Wolfhook said aloud to noone.
Duckhook swooped down and made a graceful landing on the lawn just outside Wolfhook’s cell bars. I must get rid of that meddlesome mutant Wolfhook. Duckhook thought to himself. For hours, the duck gathered wood from near and far to bring it to the spot by Wolfhook’s window. Duckhook stacked them up, leaning against the building, then he found a big can of gas and poured it all over. he flew in the air and scattered the gasoline like rain.
Wolfhook could hear noises outside, but was too miserable to care, so he dozed off.
Duckhook hurled the gas can at Wolfhook’s window bars. It made a clanging sound, startling Wolfhook awake. “Quaaaack,” the duck bellowed out one of his signature quacks.
“Duckhook!” the wolf clenched his hook in rage, “I hate him!” The wolf pulled himself up off the floor to look out the window. Duckhook was already beating his wing against the bricks, causing sparks. The gas caught, and the building went up in flames.
Wolfhook shrieked, backing away from the fire. “Duckhook!” he yelled, “we can talk this out!” the flames roared higher. “Let’s be partners!”
The proposition piqued Duckhook’s interest, but he would have to act quick in order to save the wolf’s life. Police men filed out into the corridors, running frantically like ants. Duckhook glided down the halls, his wings outstretched. He cut open everyone’s face as he flew by. There were eyeballs on his hooks like how small children sometimes put black olives on their fingers.
Wolfhook was freed and they both escaped.
What would become of this NEW relationship? Would a betrayal take place? Will they live happily ever after? Find out in the next installment of the Wolfhook Chronicles.
