Sometimes you have one of those days. Charles Savant was having one of those weeks. His wife left him, his dog ran away, and his jewelry company was going nowhere fast. His luck seemed to be changing though, at least when one Joshua Canner walked in.
“I need a bullet sir, a diamond one, and I’m willing to pay any price.” Savant didn’t ask questions although inside they tortured his soul. Why did Canner need a diamond bullet? Oh well. It was time for business.
“I would need five thousand dollars,” Savant said matter of factly.
“Done.” Said Canner. “I’ll come for it tomorrow.” The two men exchanged salutations and Canner left the store. Savant closed up the store and headed home. When he got home he searched the internet for the name Joshua Canner, what he found startled him. Josh Canner was a hunter, but not a duck or deer or even ostriches. Canner sought out one animal, a wolf, a wolf with hooks. Canner was hunting the notorious Wolfhook. Savant stuttered in fear, but then, this could have its advantages Savant thought. He could sell diamond bullets for souvenirs, Savant would be famous. Just the thought made him smile. That’s when he heard it. Pots and bans clattered around, then the power went out. There was an intruder, an intruder, an intruder in the kitchen. Savant snuck around and peeked in the kitchen. He saw the outline of a figure who walked toward him like a giant toddler.
“Who are you??” asked Savant.
“Hot dogs,” replied the big figure. Savant realized what happened. He turned and ran (like a really fast runner) but it was too late. Wolfhook claimed another victim.
